The African open market session allows additional safari memories for our tourists enjoy the interactions from the locals while shopping the organic farm produce freshly harvested and directly bought from the locals while on tour. Epic Gorilla Trails excursions supports the accommodation run by the local investors, partnerships and community wildlife concession associations in case of a foreign run facility to be considered. • Heritage Mountain Gorilla conservation; The founders and participants at Epic Gorilla trails are a team of the naturalists who are self-recruited into wildlife conservation cadres with a lot to offer for the conservation fraternity. In the 1990s our parents were depending on the forest for economic benefits. However due to paving away for Mountain Gorillas conservation in the Mgahinga and Bwindi conservation areas (MBCA), those activities like wild honey collection, wild fruits harvesting of the Marianthus spp, root harvesting, craft making rom the forest hard climbers and herbal remedies collections were stopped. This effective wildlife conservation principles later resulted into the lucrative safari industry dominated by gorilla tourism into our region, having attained the relevant education and trainings to day we form a generation of change agents into the safari traditions both at home and outside the foreign environment. We do believe in information sharing, exposure and activism as the best mechanism to live in harmony with Nature

Epic Gorilla trails donates a percentage of our profits to war-torn villages into the Virunga region in D.R.Congo and supports families whose families were burnt down to ashes during the last volcanic eruptions from Mt.Nyiragongo. All our tours has a community initiative fee for livelihood support of who were evicted from the forest to stabilize Moutain Gorillas conservation.
